Naturism does not work. People who are new to or run into the word don’t know what it means and are likely to interpret it as nature-loving. It also gets confused with naturalist. Clothing-optional is equally confusing - how “optional”?

I’m going on a naturist vacation. Tell that to 10 non-nudists and most would have no idea what I’m doing on my vacation. Some would think I’m going to explore flora and fauna.

I’d like to see “clothes free” used more often. Simple direct words everyone understands. I’m going on a clothing free or clothes free vacation. Also, use the word “nude” more often although that word may raise eyebrows to the uninitiated more often than clothes free. Free and freedom have a positive vibe.

I think it does, it has to modernize and adept to today's fast paced, modern day young person. Today's modern day young person is almost always on their phone, on tiktok or other social media platform. Nudism/naturism has to utilize those online social media in order to appeal to the modern day, young person to recruit them and invite them to at least take a look at this fun and exciting lifestyle and survive.
