Skinny Dip Day 2025 makes waves
A record-setting global celebration of body freedom and collective care
This year’s Skinny Dip Day fundraiser was a record-breaker—for us and for the movement.
Team Planet Nude, now in our second year participating, raised an incredible $3,254 to support the Fistula Foundation—surpassing last year’s haul by more than 61%! That’s enough to fund over five life-changing surgeries for women living with obstetric fistula. We finished just behind the always-impressive team from Gunnison Beach, who raised $3,497. Congratulations to them on a beautiful win.
SkinnyDipDay.org as a whole also broke its record, raising over $15,000 across 25 participating teams, with over 300 supporters. That total brings the six-year fundraising history of this initiative to over $40,000, providing approximately 67 surgeries through the Fistula Foundation. Incredible work by everyone involved.
A massive, emphatic thank you to every single person who participated, donated, spread the word, or took a dip. We’re so grateful. Special thanks and congratulations go out to Thomas Francine, the heart and soul behind SkinnyDipDay.org, for building something meaningful, playful, and impactful.
Team Planet Nude
This year, Team Planet Nude wasn’t centered on a single location like we were last year at Bates Beach. Instead, we celebrated as a remote team, with skinny dippers from around the world taking part in their own unique ways—from beaches and rivers to backyard tubs.
I, your humble editor, joined a wonderful team at Golden Valley Sun Club in Golden Valley, Arizona—where we were also celebrating the one-year anniversary of this beautiful little club with founders Alan and Freddie Carlile. Huge thanks to them for hosting me and for their hospitality.
I also want to give a shout out to
, who created the amazing Team Planet Nude image for this year (and last year too), which went on merch that was sold on our Etsy shop. Overall we sold over 30 separate pieces of merch ranging from t-shirts to towels to stickers and hats! Adding (after costs) over $250 to our fundraising efforts!
