Team Planet Nude returns for Skinny Dip Day — and this year, we’re going remote

Celebrating body freedom while supporting life-changing surgeries

Last summer, Team Planet Nude took the plunge at Bates Beach and helped raise over $2,000 for the Fistula Foundation, funding life-changing surgeries for at least three women. This year, due to life circumstances, I can’t host a big in-person gathering—but we’re still going all in.

For 2025, Team Planet Nude is back, and everyone’s invited to join from wherever you are.

Whether you’re dipping into a lake, ocean, river, or a little plastic pool in your back yard, you can participate in Skinny Dip Day and help raise funds for one of the most meaningful causes we support.

Here’s how it works:

1. Join Team Planet Nude and make a donation on our fundraiser page.

2. Take a skinny dip on or around Saturday, July 12, in honor of International Skinny Dip Day.

3. Send us a photo or reflection of your dip for our big post-event wrap-up on Planet Nude. You can also share on the socials using #SkinnyDipDay and #TeamPlanetNude, but we’d love to feature your submission in our recap.

Why we do this

Skinny Dip Day is so much more than just a fun tradition—it’s a fundraiser for the Fistula Foundation, which provides free surgeries to women suffering from obstetric fistula, a childbirth injury that causes chronic incontinence and social isolation. One surgery costs just $619, and with your help, we’re aiming to cure more women than ever before.

As SkinnyDipDay.org founder Thomas Francine says, this cause deeply resonates with naturists:

“[The Fistula Foundation] just so happens to have a theme that overlaps with naturism! They cure women who have some of the most horrifying body shame in the world.”
