What do your neighbors think?
In this #UndressedThread, let’s talk about the people on the other side of the fence
This one’s for the home-nudists—the backyard tanners, patio loungers, and window wanderers. Do your neighbors know? Have you ever talked about it? Do you care? Some keep it discreet. Others just hope the HOA doesn’t send another letter.
In this #UndressedThread, we’re asking:
Have you ever had a conversation with a neighbor about nudism?
Do you make an effort to stay private, or just live your life?
Has neighbor perception ever shaped how free you feel at home?
Tell us how you navigate nudity and neighborhood life. 🪐

My neighbors can look into my backyard from their upper floor windows, and one neighbor once complained about seeing me naked. I looked up all relevant Dutch laws about it (the actual texts, not just interpretations), and consulted the NFN (the Dutch organisation about naturism). The result: I am well within my rights to use the backyard naked if I want to, as the backyard is not visible from public area's (the street). Therefore, I can keep enjoying my backyard clothesfree. The neighbors can simply decide to 'not look into my backyard'.
I am a home nudist because I mostly have lived in apartments all my life. I made friends with a few of my neighbors in the complex. They never saw me nude but a few friends I made during my time at one complex knew I liked being nude because it came out in conversation once. Most gave me that sort of snooty look but one neighbor seemed to be curious and started visiting me more often. It wasn't long before I had a convert and we would visit each other and enjoy being nude in our homes.
