Welcoming Naked, Nudists, and Naturists podcast to Planet Nude
An interview with the Naked, Nudists, and Naturists podcast
At Planet Nude we see podcasts as an important part of the naturist eco system. Podcasts are places where ideas are tested, sometimes much more freely than in other venues. We’re excited to introduce you to the Naked, Nudists, and Naturists (NNN) podcast hosted by Frank Stone and Lisa Monroe, which made its debut on July 1, 2023. They bring a background in professional radio and a deep passion for the naturist way of life to the airwaves. Since the beginning, the show has maintained a rigorous schedule, delivering a full hour of content every Saturday morning without missing a single week, even on holidays.
The program’s growth led to the introduction of a second weekly show on Wednesdays in mid-2025, which features a more personal format focused on discussions between the hosts, Frank and Lisa. Now serving as the “official” podcast of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), NNN seeks to bridge the gap between long-time members and those just beginning their journey into clothes-free living.
Planet Nude will be publishing a monthly recap highlighting recent episodes of Naked, Nudists and Naturists. To kick off and celebrate their arrival, we asked Frank and Lisa about their mission, their partnership with the AANR, and why they believe naturism is the way humans were intended to live. 🚀
Interview with Frank Stone, Jan 2026
How did the NNN Podcast get started, and what inspired you to create it?
One of our core beliefs is that the joys of naturism need to be shouted from the mountaintops, so it is better to have more voices out there to help that message to reach all. With our radio backgrounds, as well as our love for naturism, we decided to put other projects aside to dive in the deep end of the pool with a weekly show, giving listeners information and insight through our guests; updating everybody on naturism activities; and spreading the positive messages that true naturism brings.
What do you see as the core purpose or mission of the show? And what does it mean to you?
The core message of the Naked, Nudists, and Naturists podcast show is that God intentionally chose to have us born as clothes free people, and that is how He intended for us to live. Societal pressures, money, and greed have convinced people to not only buy and wear clothing, but to buy the latest expensive fashions, and then augment them with jewelry, hairstyles, and other accoutrements that take us away from our intended way of living.
When one takes away the clothing, we have found that all barriers, stress, and worldly intent go away, too – and then it is just you and him or you and her, instantly getting to know each other much better, as there is nothing to hide you.
You talk with a wide range of naturists each week. What have you learned from those conversations that has surprised or stayed with you?
The thought here is that there have been no surprises, just massive confirmation that living clothes free brings great joy to every person who engages in this way of life. One of our greatest joys with this show is when guests or listeners tell us of their first time of wandering into the naturism life; loving every second of it; and then never turning back!
Two of the other joys of doing this show is discovering that there are many more home nudists than anybody ever knew, and that not everybody prefers the active social life. Also, many prefer to be alone; with only or with one person; or with a small group.
NNN is now considered the “official” AANR podcast. What does that role mean to you, and how do you balance serving the organization with maintaining your own voice as creators?
We feel honored to be the Official Podcast of the American Association for Nude Recreation. By bringing together our large, established listener base with AANR’s membership, we reach a broad audience to share the message that naturism or nudism is natural and available to all. While many people enjoy reading for information, others prefer the spoken word, which can be consumed while driving, working, cutting the grass, etc. Our listeners have shared that this joint effort between NNN and AANR has opened a whole new world for those previously on the fence, leading many to dive into clothes-free living for all the right reasons and to join AANR.
As for balancing our needs, NNN reaches a global audience, and it is important that we offer information relevant to them as well, without losing sight of our personal message about naturism. Appearances by AANR officials, members, resorts, and social clubs, as well as those from abroad, inform everyone and reiterate our message about the joy of clothes-free living.
How do you hope first-time listeners will feel when they tune in?
We want first time listeners to feel welcomed, knowing that they are among friends and like-minded believers, and that they can relax as we use the introduction to set the mood for a relaxing time by the poolside with friends, food, and fun.
After our intro brings them in, the Lisa/Frank segments, as well as the guest interviews, help our listeners gain more ideas for how to enhance their own naturism journeys. On our Wednesday shows, we intentionally have no guests, as it is all Frank and Lisa discussing the joys, activities, and happenings of naturism!
What new directions or topics are you excited to explore in the future?
As our goals are to promote AANR and naturism, we will continue to heavily promote the very positive joys of both! However, we also take suggestions from listeners, and we attempt to cover their needs and desires, too, including bringing in a requested guest; researching various nuances of clothes free living; commenting on a particular aspect; and even singing some songs about naturism! 🪐
