Weekly Wrap: Jun 1
This week on Planet Nude: Pride month begins, summer nudism in full swing, and new Strips!
Against all odds, we’ve arrived at another Weekly Wrap. Good to see you.
As we begin Pride Month, let’s get one thing straight (no pun intended): Planet Nude is a queer-inclusive, trans-supportive, intersex-recognizing, LGBTQ+-friendly newsletter. With many new subscribers joining us, it’s important to reaffirm that we support body freedom for ALL.
Our readers overwhelmingly share these values. You understand this inherently, and you contribute to the supportive and respectful discourse here. You don’t have to agree with everything shared on this site to be a part of our community, but we all agree on maintaining an environment free from hate.
Let’s celebrate Pride with love, acceptance, and unity.
We’re overflowing with news this week. While there was some big news in the wider world (🍊👨🏻⚖️👀), there has been plenty of nudie news too. Catch up on all of it, plus enjoy a new comic on Strips, and more fun. Read on. 🚀

Celebrate Pride 🏳️🌈
Let’s kick it off with a curated collection of past articles centering LGBTQ+ stories. These pieces explore the intersection of nudism and LGBTQ+ culture, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the vibrant experiences within our community.
News of the Nude, May 2024
The May 2024 edition of News of the Nude reflects a busy month in the nudist community. Key stories include the preparations for World Naked Bike Rides in Milwaukee and Madison, which continue despite legislative threats. The Dia Al Desnudo event in Mexico celebrated body positivity. A proposed nudist-run bookstore in San Francisco gained attention for its unique concept. British Naturism's Great British Skinny Dip and Naked Heart Walks raised funds for the British Heart Foundation. Additionally, the approval of Tasmania’s first official nude beach and the development of a designated nude beach in Pinellas County, Florida, marked significant milestones for the naturist movement. Many more stories and updates are included.
Full steam ahead for Wisconsin WNBRs
This week, we also brought readers an update on the preparations for Wisconsin’s World Naked Bike Rides (WNBR) in Milwaukee and Madison. Scheduled for June, these events celebrate body positivity, cyclist awareness, and energy independence. Despite last year’s legislative threats, organizers are moving forward with renewed enthusiasm. Milwaukee's event on June 22nd, organized by John Jankowski, will include body painting and vendors. Madison's ride on June 15th, led by Peter Keating, remains committed to its cause despite previous controversies. Both rides emphasize the importance of public nudity as a form of protest and community engagement.
