I grew up in the central lower peninsula of Michigan, and I am familiar with this area. I imagine there's a lot of bug spray being used here. As a kid I can remember clouds of mosquitoes coming out to feast.

You had to get the timing down right. It wasn't so bad in sunny open areas and early in the am. Late afternoon/evening was miserable. OTOH, during the day you had black flies, no see-ums, and deer flies to entertain you.

Genuinely her work is commendable. It needs very courageous nature & very clear thoughts. Best wishes for her mission.

Is there a male version of the "Wild Woman of Nature" therapudic events and retreats; e.g. "Wild Men of Nature" or just "Men of (or in) Nature"? Men, of course, have their own issues to deal with that are quite different than women's, but could conceivably be addressed in such a venue.

I think the closest that I’m aware of might be natural pursuits. Their focus is not as much on the therapeutic benefits of nudity in nature as they are based in NYC, but on the body positivity and male support in social settings, and similar to wild women events there is an artistic/photographic element to their gatherings. They also produce a beautiful high quality magazine. https://naturalpursuits.com/

Most of these kinds of groups are still new and rely on support from naturists if they are going to grow or for more grouos to pop up. I recommend supporting them for this reason!

Oops. Seems like it's gay oriented.. I'll see if that's the focus, or if the focus is on the male nudist experience.
