The laundry machine beeps loudly — BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP — catching her attention. Panel 2: Val peeks around a corner and says, "Laundry’s done!" Panel 3: Val kneels in front of a basket of laundry, pulling out a blanket with a pleased expression. Rain pours outside the window as thunder rumbles in the background. She says, "Aw yeah, fluffy blankets! Perfect for a stormy night!" Panel 4: Wrapped in a heart-patterned blanket, Val looks up in surprise as lightning cracks loudly — CRACK! Panel 5: Val stands at a large arched window, watching a flash of lightning outside. She’s wrapped snugly in her blanket and says, "Woah. Cool." A loud BOOM of thunder follows. Rain continues to fall heavily outside.
