I am sorry that there are still so many ignorant, hateful people in our world. I accept all people, unless they prove themselves to be a**holes. It isn't just in the "real" world, but also in the world of social nudism. Many years ago, my wife and I were at one of the resorts with another couple. We were in the pool and made conversation with anyone that would listen to us. One couple started talking with us, and the hate they expressed based on skin color just amazed me. The four of us distanced ourselves from them the rest of the weekend. In my heart and in my mind, social nudity is all inclusive and nonjudgemental. As it should....and MUST...be.
I have no issues with the gay community and welcome them into the nude lifestyle. My only issue is if and when they involve or try to indoctrinate juveniles into the gay or trans lifestyle. If a juvenile decides he or she wants to be gay that should be their choice and their choice alone. The same feeling goes for the trans lifestyle. I will fight anyone anywhere if and when they start messing with juveniles!
Randy, do me a favor and think for a second. Why would we want to indoctrinate juveniles? What benefit is there for us? I guarantee you we're born this way, just as it is with all animals. No one is doing anything to us but discriminate against us, that's it. My grandmother, though very pious, told me when I came out to her that sometimes we don't know why God does what he does but regardless, everything he does is perfect. I'm not religious, but I think there's some wisdom there.
I have relatives who were born into straight, religious, and right-wing families who still turned out to be gay. The indoctrination myth is fearmongering.
Randy, the indoctrinate thing is such a myth brought on by right wing extremists as a fear tactic and unfortunately some people are buying it. Don't buy it.
This post is just as ignorant as anything outright anti-lgbtq. Support for children's realizations isn't indoctrination. Children have a very strong sense of identity and helping them work it out is in the best interest of everyone in society. Sticking to dead, controlling, abusive ideas that force children into societal roles intended to keep them hetero and socionormative is what should be concerning.
I have been a nudist for over 25 years and came out as gay about 17 years ago. When I first went to a nudist resort as a single male I truly did not feel very welcome. Then I came out as gay and went to the resort with my partner about 15 years ago and have slowly seen a lot of progress of acceptance. I have found that you get to know and appreciate the real person as a nudist and not just see the sexual preference side. In regards to the hate of some nudist in regards to celebrating sexuality, I cannot believe how you can shun how people love but celebrate being naked which most of the world ties into being sexual? In short, I have learned to just avoid those nudist that do not accept my partner and I. We have found a lot more that have accepted and loved us as a couple.
Timmothy, I’m sorry you still have to experience responses and comments like these in this day and age. I’m even more sorry they came from people supposedly calling themselves nudist and naturists. Two of the major tenets of naturism as defined by INF is respect for self and respect for others. Pride for sure falls under respect for self and aligns neatly with naturism. However, disrespecting someone for who they are clearly does not align with naturism and I would ask those in the naturist community who do such things to reexamine their motives for being naturists. As an LGTBQ ally I wish you a happy pride.
Sorry you have to deal with this. Ignorance, fear, hatred, and bigotry (often wrapped in a cloak of religion) know no bounds, so it’s important our organizations loudly announce their commitment to inclusion of all bodies.
I read through the negative comments. Perhaps more alarming than the anti-LGBTQ rhetoric are the non-sequiturs and apparent misunderstanding of several English words. I suspect the two impact the writers' lives in ways that extend beyond social nudism.
Ah, the power of the rainbow flag and the queer community to trigger so many fragile egos. I wonder if we could set up a GoFundMe for them and then subvert the funds for a drag show at the local naturist library? The engagement rates on any posts from that would be through the roof, might be a fantastic boost to recruiting more naturists, especially from the queer community, and then they'd really feel threatened.
I'm seeing really great marketing opportunities here! Perhaps a Netflix docudramamedy just in time for Christmas? Could even change the AANR acronym to AANR+ and really bring out some great speculation games about what the "+" is! Bring it, I'll wrap a rainbow on them, sprinkle some glitter everywhere and really bring out their ire.
Love your presence here, Timothy. Doubly so after this post. 🌈❤️
You can never please all of the people all of the time (and of course, there are some who will never be pleased unless they are getting everything their own way!) Sadly, you have come up against feeble-minded 'christians' (or should that read 'cretins'...?) Who believe that quoting their 'holy book' means that they don't have to think for themselves!

"Indoctrinate"? "lifestyle"?
One cannot make a gay person straight or a straight person gay. It's innate.
"Lifestyle" implies choice, which is hardly the case with sexual orietation. Think about it. Who would ever actually choose to be gay?

Please describe when and how you "decide[d]" to be straight.

You drive a Tiguan? Stay away from me!

From one queer to another, thank you for being here and speaking up.
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
[Then they came for the LGBT community, and I did not speak out - because I am not part of the LGBT community]
Then they came for me [the nudists]—and there was no one left to speak for me [us]."
