Please support Planet Nude
20% off memberships for our September Member Drive—now through September 30
Every March and September, we run a little member drive to ask for your support throughout the month, typically offering incentives such as exclusive content and special promotions. This month, we’re offering 20% off paid memberships for life. Whether you subscribe monthly or annually, it’s our way of saying thank you, and encouraging those on the fence to jump in.
Our paid memberships, usually $6/mo or $60/year, are now just $4.80/mo or $48/year—and when you join, you lock in that savings for as long as you keep the subscription.
If you’ve been reading for a while and find value in what we’re doing here—this is the time.
What we’ve built together
This past year, Planet Nude has grown into something I truly believe is unlike anything else in the naturist space. What began as a simple newsletter is now a platform with multiple channels—essays, history, comics, fiction, community threads, podcasts—all edited with care, and all shaped by real people.
We’ve refined our editorial focus to lean into what matters most: original reporting, substantive essays, thoughtful cultural commentary, and historical context. We retired our recap formats like Weekly Wrap in favor of deeper, more meaningful work. And we’ve stuck to our commitment to compensate our contributors fairly—raising our rates as we grow, and continuing to build a publication that values its artists and writers as much as it values its readers.
Our Strips webcomic platform has become a cornerstone of what we do, now featuring original work from more than a dozen artists every month. It’s the world’s only naturist comics platform of its kind, and—thanks to paid members—each new comic is exclusive to subscribers for the first week before unlocking for everyone else.
This month we’re excited to add yet another new regular contributor with original one-shots and a new monthly comic title by prolific cartoonist Jerry King. Look for this official announcement coming this month as well.
We also launched Stories, a new home for original fiction writing rooted in themes of nudity and body freedom. It's a space for imagination, experimentation, and narrative, and it’s only just getting started.
We’ve made an impact
This summer alone, we helped raise thousands of dollars for nonprofits like Fistula Foundation and Music Heals Minds as part of our Visible Altruism efforts. And beyond that, we’ve used our platform to amplify club fundraisers, petitions, and causes aligned with the values of body freedom and naturism. We’ve also sponsored and promoted events like MoonGroove Festival and Skinny Dip Day, not to mention our regular online nude mindfulness/meditation series.
We believe that a naturist publication should reflect a community, and it should also help move it. Our news coverage has tracked the rapidly changing political and cultural landscape for naturists in North America. From beach closures to anti-nudity bills to the shifting norms of online censorship, we’ve been first on the scene more than once—and when possible, we’ve stayed with the story until the end.
Where we stand now
As of today, Planet Nude serves over 7,200 free subscribers and 592 paid members around the world. Monthly traffic remains strong, hovering above 250,000 views on average, and our total reach this year is in the millions.
The steady climb in numbers reflects a deeper evolution in what we’re creating. We’re publishing more original content, from more contributors, across more formats than any other naturist publication today.
And we’re doing it independently.
Thanks to your paid subscriptions as well as sponsorship support from the Naturist Action Committee and Naturist Education Foundation, we’re operating in the black and continuing to grow. But this is still very much a labor of love. I volunteer the majority of my time to keep this going, and it’s only sustainable if the support continues to scale with it.
A living, breathing community
One of the things I’m most proud of is that this project hasn’t just grown an audience—it’s cultivated a real community. Our weekly #UndressedThreads have become a home for regular conversation, curiosity, vulnerability, and wit. Our inbox is full of thoughtful replies, generous ideas, and kind encouragement.
Here’s what a few of our paid subscribers have had to say recently:

These are just a few of the many we have received. We love hearing these comments. They really keep us going and show us that we are providing a meaningful service to a very real community of people, all around the world.
If Planet Nude is going to thrive into the future, we need more of our readers to join us as paying members. Subscribe now and send us a message like the ones above. Let us know why you support our work.
How to support Planet Nude
Now is your chance to take advantage of our September Member Drive: all new paid subscriptions this month are 20% off—forever. The discount is available only until the end of the month.
What does a paid subscription get me?
For $60 $48 per year, a paid subscription to Planet Nude gets you:
Early access to new Strips webcomics (one week before they’re free to everyone)
Exclusive articles and bonus threads available only to paying members
Full access to the archive of past content (archive posts are paywalled after two years)
Behind-the-scenes content from the Naked Age podcast
The satisfaction of supporting independent naturist media and helping us pay our contributing writers and artists
It’s the best way to keep Planet Nude thriving while getting a little extra along the way.
What are “sustaining memberships?”
A sustaining membership is a way to support our work at an increased level of $120 per year (or less, if you like). Sustaining Members get a complimentary Live Naked Die Happy original tote bag, plus other perks throughout the year, like exclusive emails and occasional first looks at upcoming campaigns and stories on Planet Nude.

Our sustaining membership is for individuals who truly value our work and are willing to support it at an annual rate equivalent to just $10/month. For the amount of daily content we’re serving up, don’t you think that’s an affordable amount to pay? If the answer is yes, consider subscribing as a sustaining member today.
Other ways to support
We’ve been quietly growing our Planet Nude Gift Shop on Etsy, with new stickers, patches, cards, and other nudie-themed goods added each month.

We’ll also be announcing a whole new way to support Planet Nude this month as part of our member drive (stay tuned for updates).
But for now, if you’re able, a paid membership is the most direct and meaningful way to help keep this going.
Can I donate time or energy?
Yes. I do need help from time to time. In addition to editorial work, we also want stories. Journalistic reporting, unique perspectives, original writing and art, interviews, etc. Planet Nude is the platform to get your writing out to a nudist readership. We pay a fair rate for all contributions we publish.
Interested in writing or volunteering for us? Send me a message.
Can my naturist business advertise on Planet Nude?
Short answer, maybe. We do not offer space for traditional ads, but we do seek sponsorship support from partners who align with our mission and ethos. This entails premium placements in some of our regular features to help get your relevant message across to our audience of engaged naturists. Interested in learning more? Send me a message.
What’s ahead?
As I mentioned above, we’re continuing to add new comic artists and titles to Strips. As I also alluded to above, we have more announcements coming up too. We’ll also be sharing the results of our summer Reader Survey in the coming weeks. Beyond that, we’re publishing new essays, editorials, interviews, and historical deep-dives each week. We’re following major cultural shifts—from changing laws to the erosion of public spaces to the rise of naturist creators building new spaces online. We’re watching, writing, and responding in real time.
Planet Nude is a living project, and it only exists because people like you support it. So if you’ve found something of value here—something worth protecting, or growing, or just cheering for—I hope you’ll consider joining us as a paid subscriber. This is the best time to do it.
Thanks for being part of this strange little orbit. 🪐
