so far I've moistly been naked at home by myself, I did go to a resort last year and was ok with it and I'm looking forward to going to the resort and other events this year never been around anyone I know
Weird but true... friends and family come with expectations (e.g. baggage). Strangers (or rather casual acquaintances) don't. I can be me with the only expectation being to be friendly, accepting and kind.
I chose close friends, but I'm comfortable being nude around anyone. However, I also respect others, so when nudity is not expected, I respect that and keep clothes on.
It's been an evolution, but I feel relaxed nude in pretty much any setting where it's not an issue or provocative to be nude. This includes anywhere allowed in a C/O or nudist resort, even if most others are dressed, and at home unless textile friends or family are coming by.
I sponsor weekly Men's Nude Yoga classes and that's where I enjoy being naked with other naked men. It builds a silent community, 25 naked men. moving and breathing together. We also have monthly men's nude parties and nude bar nights. I still find it amazing that in Kentucky we have so many chances to socialize nude.
Around people who will not sexualise me for being nude. This includes certain friends (while excludes others), my family, and certain strangers, mainly elderly women. However, it never includes my current partner (when I have one, mind you), because around them I always feel I have to perform, have to look desirable -- and that's not what I do naturism for, quite the opposite.
No single answer to this question, I love being naked with the love of my life but we aren't into other family members none of whom are nudists. Other nudists, strangers or friends, are no problem for us, we are quite comfortable, same for naked folks when swinging. Only issue with public shower rooms is that I shave my genital area, kind of stands out were we live, less so if traveling amongst strangers.
Makes no difference to me really, we've been to social gatherings in the past. Naturist conferences water parks and holidays where you mix with all kinds. Also I'm not phased by being naked while others are clothed 😊

When I'm not by myself, I am most comfortable with fellow members of the Southern California Naturist Association and other members of naturist clubs.
