It’s Independence Week in the U.S., but with recent protests, war, regressive court rulings, legislative division, and political violence swirling, patriotism feels… complicated. But, for naturists and body freedom advocates, words like ‘independence’ and ‘freedom’ can hold personal and profound meaning; it can be about reclaiming shame, standing in autonomy, or resisting pressure to conform.
