We’re headed to MoonGroove
Your week-of cheat sheet for tickets, camping, travel, and where to find Planet Nude at White Thorn Lodge
We’re just a few days away from MoonGroove. On Wednesday we’ll be boarding a flight to Pennsylvania, and by Thursday the festival will officially be underway at White Thorn Lodge.
It’s one of the weekends I look forward to most each year, and we’re excited to be back as a sponsor for the festival’s first year at its new home.
If you’re joining us, here are a few last-minute reminders and useful links to bookmark before you head out.
It’s a new home for MoonGroove
The biggest change this year is the venue.
After five years at Penn Sylvan, MoonGroove has moved across the state to White Thorn Lodge, longtime home of the Superbowl of Naked Volleyball and one of the best-known clubs in American naturism. The larger grounds give the festival more room to grow, with expanded camping, additional vendor space, and plenty of room to spread out between stages.
If you’re unfamiliar with White Thorn, take a few minutes to explore while you’re there. It’s a club with a long history, and this will be the first time many attendees have the chance to experience it.
If you missed it, you can also read our earlier preview of MoonGroove 2026 for a closer look at this year’s lineup and the move to White Thorn.
What to look forward to
More than 40 performers will take the stage over four days, with Big Something, SunSquabi, and Sneezy leading a lineup that spans jam, funk, rock, EDM, bluegrass, and soul. Whether you’re planning to spend your weekend camped out in front of the Main Stage or wandering between sets, there’s live music happening from afternoon well into the night.
Don’t make the mistake of treating MoonGroove as just a concert, though. The schedule is also packed with volleyball, pickleball, cornhole, bocce, yoga, guided hikes, workshops, visual art, and plenty of opportunities to simply relax with friends around camp. It’s that combination of music, recreation, and community that has made MoonGroove one of the most distinctive events on the naturist calendar.
Don’t forget: tickets and camping are separate
If you’re still on the fence, weekend and single-day passes remain available.
One reminder for first-timers: your festival wristband gets you into MoonGroove, but overnight camping requires a separate camping pass. Organizers have also reserved a discounted room block at the nearby Microtel by Wyndham for anyone who prefers a hotel over a tent or RV.
One more tip: MoonGroove tells me current online ticket prices remain in effect through Wednesday night. After that, tickets will still be available at the gate, but they’ll cost more, and you’ll still need to purchase them online from your phone.

Bringing an RV?
MoonGroove recently sent updated arrival instructions for larger RVs and trailers. If your rig is longer than 25 feet, be sure to follow the alternate approach via PA-168 rather than the main entrance on State Line Road. It’ll make your arrival considerably easier.
Come say hello
Planet Nude is proud to be back as a sponsor this year, and we’ll have a table in Vendor Row throughout the weekend.
Please stop by and introduce yourself. Whether you’ve been reading since the beginning or just subscribed last month, I’d love to put a face to a name. We’ll have Planet Nude stickers and a few other giveaways, and we’ll be recording interviews and collecting stories from around the festival.
If you’re attending as a VIP, keep an eye on your welcome bag. Every VIP will receive an exclusive Planet Nude Sticker Club drop created especially for MoonGroove. We’ll also be spending time in the VIP area throughout the weekend, so don’t hesitate to come say hello there as well.
One of the best parts of these weekends is meeting the people who make this community what it is.
Join me for a workshop
In addition to hanging out at the Planet Nude booth throughout the weekend, I’ll also be joining leaders from the Naturist Action Committee and the Naturist Education Foundation for two “Nudism Q&A” sessions.
Whether you’re brand new to naturism or have been involved for years, it’s a chance to ask questions about the movement, advocacy, clubs, etiquette, or whatever else is on your mind.
Friday: Noon to 1:00 p.m.
Saturday: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Follow along in Discord
If you can’t make it to MoonGroove this year, you’re still welcome to tag along.
I’ll be sharing photos and a few updates from the festival in the Planet Nude Discord server as the weekend unfolds. It’s also a great place to chat with other readers, ask questions, and keep up with what’s happening on the grounds in a more informal setting.
If you haven’t joined us yet, you can do that here:

We’ll have a full MoonGroove recap here on Planet Nude after everyone gets home.
See you at White Thorn. 🪐
Planet Nude is proud to sponsor MoonGroove 2026
The festival often described as a “Coachella for nudists” returns July 16–19 for its sixth year, blending live music across four stages, visual art, workshops, and the full slate of naturist sports—volleyball, pickleball, cornhole, and bocce—in a clothing-optional setting.

See you there! I'll be in my teardrop camper in the flats!
