This is crazy-making. Breaking off the institute as a non-profit but keeping its archives? What would the university do with all that material? Makes nopay wall? Hopefully public outcry will turn this bad idea around.

I suggest that people who are body and sex "positive" make small donations to the Kinsey Institute to ensure that their objective and priceless efforts continue. Several donation options are available on their website (https://kinseyinstitute.org/index.php)
Identity politics are going at lightspeed. The government has no business in the bedroom's of the nation. For politicians, it's about whipping up emotions. They don't see that real people get hurt by it.
Sexuality is a critical part of a person's identity. Defunding the institute is malevolent.
