A black-and-white comic titled The Invisible Man and the Creature from the Black Lagoon Go to a Naturist Park by Evan Nix. Panel 1: The Invisible Man, wearing a hat, coat, and sunglasses, takes a selfie with a selfie stick beside the smiling Creature from the Black Lagoon in front of a sign reading “Shady Oaks Naturist Park.” Panel 2: In the parking lot, the Creature removes his floral shirt and shorts. Nearby, the Invisible Man’s clothes, hat, and shoes sit piled on a car, while his floating sunglasses mark where his invisible face is. Panel 3: At the poolside, the Creature sits on a lounge chair, rubbing sunscreen onto the air beside him, where the Invisible Man reclines—his presence shown by floating sunglasses. Panel 4: The Creature’s reading is interrupted when a large nude man begins to sit on what looks like an empty chair. Floating sunglasses reveal the Invisible Man is already there, and the Creature looks alarmed. Panel 5: Standing poolside with eyes closed, the Creature calls out “Marco!” while playing Marco Polo. The Invisible Man’s position is shown by floating sunglasses right behind him. Artist’s comment

I’m not really a comic artist, but I’ve always been a bit of a doodler. I did go to art school, and sometimes I still dabble. This one’s a special Halloween one-off I made for the Planet Nude Sticker Club’s October mail drop. Club members got a little mini-zine featuring this comic, an original essay about The Nudity of the Invisible Man, some fun Halloween nudist stickers, and a magnet! The stuff is made special for Sticker Club members, but I couldn’t resist sharing this one with the wider audience on Planet Nude Strips.

The Sticker Club has turned out to be one of the most rewarding little projects I’ve taken on—something creative, tangible, and surprisingly communal. It’s brought a new rhythm and meaning to my days, not to mention something to do with my hands. Unfortunately, the club is full at the moment, but we’ll be opening it again soon.
