The early 60s were when my parents and I (as a child) were active in the nudist world. Although we traveled from our Indiana home to several clubs back east, a couple of which still exist, I was never at NYPenn. However, your pictures are wonderful reminders for me of a "golden age" (maybe it was that because I had no club responsibilities or dues!).

Wonderful! Thsnks for taking the time to put this together. Since you have some experience mining photos to reveal or rediscover nudist history, I have a question. What system of organization have you developed? The WNRL has decades of photos from Glen Eden and Olive Dell, and plenty more from Bev Price, Ed Lange, Cec Cinder and others. But in many cases the date isn't indicated or the people in the photos or the event that was going on.

I sent you an email, easier on locations I am almost an expert of like Lake Como, and if you get lucky to have things you can date movement in them, On NYPenns, all of these save the woman on the lake, and the one at Sunny Rest are at their Great Bend PA camp so between 1958 and 1962, Sunny Rest photos is 1955 because one, the building in the upper corner is a Sunny Rest building, okay and then you would only have a banner for a convention and so ESA was there in 1955 when I looked that up,.....and on that photo it is dated on the back.....ha ha. I know the photographer for lake photo. Looked at a lot of lakes for that probably 1963 photo, there are three other photos on the lake one is better to ID it...must have scoured 100 back issues for Cedar Waters and Solaire photos of their lake, not too many lakes in NE USA nudist parks during that era, age of woman confused me as to why he would take it.....then I realized "daughter" has face of mother in a 1949 Lake Como photo. Since have a photo taken at Penn Sylvan makes sense for them to be in PA.....I did not bother to troll photographer's daughter to look where she went to University. Would not surprise me if it happened to be Cornell of some PA school, but I have not looked.... it is grunt work with the hope of a little luck. You need someone to really really get to know Olive Dell and once you can date a few photos it starts to come easier, Places like Paradise Valley in NJ and Rock Lodge are more recognizable than places with trees.......i had help identifying location of a 1930s nudist camp with the help of WI DNR because they said the lake held trout....and I had two pictures

The only way "grunt work with the hope of a little luck" can succeed is when someone also has your perceptiveness and "never say die" attitude!

I don't know about that...lol. "Everyone" is writing a book, although I have learned that hardest sentence to write in a book is the first one, so few do it. Like this stuff, the hardest part is opening up the computer and doing it, now I know having access to the ANRL et al archive online had increased my speed by a magnitude of a 1000, and few have that, but they could .......you made me laugh though on you comment

I have worked with Bev's Viking Photo Lief Heilberg's pile of stuff, most of his had dates, at least the Club Orient ones......and his Paradise lakes ones by a dated event
