Re question 1 - so how do we classify Ferenginar? First mentioned in The Next Generation, but not seen until Deep Space Nine, on the Ferengi homeworld nudity is culturally enforced, but only on the female part of the Ferengi population. Also Risa, seen in TNG, DS9, and Enterprise, was at least clothing optional. And nudity was an important part of Betazoid ritual culture, as well as there being strong evidence for Betazoids being comfortable with social nudity, as seen in the Season 5 TNG episode Cost of Living, where the Troi family comfortably shares a mud bath with implied nudity, and furthermore everyone stopped reading this comment five sentences ago, didn't they?

And that planet where Wesley is almost executed for touching plants, is supposed to be a nudist planet.

Getting executed for touching grass is somehow the perfect metaphor for the modern internet.

Only 6/13, I'm ashamed to say. Please don't revoke my Nudist Card!

My favorite nude scene is in "A Room With A View" (1985)... the skinny dipping is fun, matter-of-fact, and lighthearted.

I assume it's Betazed, but nudity was only for weddings. No different than Japanese bath house traditions. So even though I personally discussed naturism with Majel Barrett, I can't say it counts. And yes, the Ferengi can't be called nudists if they enforce nudity on half the population as a form of subjugation.

10/13 77% I think pop culture is too shock value. So, it hurts the cause. More education, especially stories on how accepting nudists/naturals are to those that are initially fearful of it. I agree with the The Naked Gentleman "Room With a View"

"Pop culture" mostly consists of scripted entertainment, which is meant to draw in viewers. Very often, nudity is used to titillate, or to show the nuances of intimate relationships.

"Education" is a different matter, and there are naturist organization that dedicate themselves to that.

If I remember correctly, the San Francisco Nudity Ban was passed in 2011, and went into effect February 2012. I got one of the first infraction tickets.

I think AANR, Naturist Society and other legally sanctioned nudist organizations and publications need to continue to present social nudism in today's "Pop Culture" as a family friendly physically active fun lifestyle or for some a part time recreational activity, a variety of nude travel agencies get that right.

Just looking at the numbers it looks like the adults only, sexual option nude travel industry is doing well, must be doing some right, maybe staying out of country for the most part helps.

9/13, I admit some lucky guesses. I remember The Pink Panther being an early introduction to the idea of a nudist “enclave”. My proclivity for sleeping nude was around that time soooo maybe connected. This was a fun quiz! Maybe I should go camp out at the AANR nudist library so I can do better next time.

The streaker ran across the stage as David Niven was about to present something, and he remarked (along the lines of) " there's a man not afraid to show his shortcomings".
