Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your kind words. I love Lezama’s works for their many layers of meaning 👍

Thanks for sharing about Daniel Lezama's work. His symbolism partnered with the nudity drew me to his paintings a couple of years ago. I enjoy his and Felix D’Eon's art partly because as Mexican Americans they instill a touch of a different culture into their art which gives the viewer the ability to see or become aware of something through a different lens. Hope you don't mind if I copy this writing to save as background information on Lezama.

Thank you for your interest in Lezama’s work! A different lens, indeed. Felix D’Eon’s work is an interesting comparison as far as nudity and Mexican culture, though I find it more heavily erotic than Lezama’s.

I’m happy for you to keep this post as background reading. I’m working on a longer project regarding Lezama’s work - if you’d like to know when that comes out, just let me know!

Thank you. I would be interested in reading your longer work. And yes, there are some dramatic differences in the two artist's work but I've also found that in some of their works there seems to be a uniqueness in palette choices and images they may be related to their Mexican heritage.

Agreed! An astute observation.
