Ironic that having started at Abbey House Gardens in the UK and then being taken up enthusiastically in the US, naked gardening at Abbey House (and its clothes-optional open days) has been ended by its new American owners.

Wow! Wasn’t aware of that. When did it happen?

Back in ‘22 or even ‘21. The Pollards, aka the Naked Gardeners, had been experiencing health and other problems for a while. An American couple bought the neighbouring hotel and bought up Abbey House at the same time. I don’t like to judge a book by its cover, but their PR photo at the time made them look like a couple of televangelists - they likely never see each other naked, let alone opening their garden to a bunch of naked Brits.

You Tube?? You must be kidding. You Tube doesn't show naked people, BTW, this is what I got when I clicked on your link: "This page isn't available. Sorry about that.

Try searching for something else."

Yes, I had accidentally included a bad link in the email that went out this morning. It is now fixed in the above post, and available here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO2WHbDSbQaqgi801jNYIRQ

If there is any lesson to be learned it is that the best part of America still lags behind the average part of Britain and the worst part is still very bad for us. BN is successful because the broader culture was ready for it. Remember that the Puritans split Britain hundreds of years ago and laid the sociological foundation for the future USA.

From my POV, it was their gain and our loss.

Nudism in America has to wait for the rest of the culture to catch up. Some places are getting there and some are going backwards. If it is really important, you could vote with your feet.

Yes! The puritan period in Britain following the English Civil War was the worst period in the nation's history. So much so that as soon as Oliver Cromwell died, Britain had the king restored and pretty much swept the whole civil war under the rug as if it had never happened. Those same puritans helped found what would later become the USA. A people so uptight that even wearing buttons on your clothing was considered sinful. That's what we have to contend with.

There is a small but still very loud and politically connected minority right now who echo those same puritan feelings and believe that is the best model for the USA, even though history has shown that it's a failure. Not just in Britain but everywhere in the world that has it's government dictated by religion.

Concerning YouTube, they need to be destroyed!!!! They have what is probably the largest monopoly in existence. I have been BANNED from YouTube twice. The first time was the same time that COVID became the rage.....interesting! I had to completely redo my tablet and get a new email address. The second time I decided that I wasn't going through all that again. They have such a stranglehold on everything that I can't even go to a manufacture's site and watch videos of their products! ALMOST all of the videos that are on the Internet are YouTube videos! I exclude sites that are exclusively devoted to videos such as pornography sites and movie sites. This is atrocious!!!! I can easily understand your situation, but things are MUCH worse for some others.
