Thanks, Evan, for keeping us updated on this situation. Although I'll probably never visit Praia do Pinho it's important for us to support our fellow naturists and their struggles all across the globe.

I'm willing to speculate there is a plan to build a hotel or resort on the vacant property just west of the beach. We just have to "follow the money."

You could not be more correct. In 1975, Maslin Beach outside Adelaide was proclaimed clothing optional. Many with holiday homes there formed a League of Decency to have the proclamation revoked. A year later, when a survey found that the price of homes in Maslin had risen, the League quietly fizzled out.
