Kerry Kott on Wild Wisdom Nude Retreat
Reclaiming the body, reconnecting with nature, and the power of being fully seen
For Kerry Kott, nudity is about way more than just being naked—it’s about undoing everything that keeps us from fully trusting ourselves. As a Chinese Medicine physician, herbalist, and nude nature photographer, she’s spent years guiding women back to their bodies, their instincts, and the earth.
Her upcoming Wild Wisdom Nude Retreat in Brooksville, Florida, is exactly what it sounds like—a fully nude, fully immersive deep dive into nature, embodiment, and self-acceptance. Through movement, voice work, plant medicine, and time in the wild, women are invited to strip down, physically and emotionally, and reconnect with the primal wisdom they’ve been conditioned to ignore. For many of Kerry’s attendees, this is the first time they’ve ever been naked outside. But whether you’re new to social nudity or already comfortable in your skin, this retreat is designed to shift perspective and bring deeper awareness to how you move through the world.
The next retreat takes place March 19–23, 2025, in Brooksville, Florida. To learn more or sign up, visit kerrykott.com/wild-wisdom-retreat.

Interview with Kerry Kott
What’s the heart behind the Wild Wisdom Nude Retreat?
At its core, the Wild Wisdom Nude Retreat is a call back home—to your body, your intuition, and the untamed wisdom that lives within you. It’s about stripping away more than just clothes; it’s about unraveling the layers of conditioning, shame, and societal expectations that have kept you from fully trusting yourself.
The heart of this retreat is remembering that we are not separate from nature but an inseparable part of it. Through deep connection, raw expression, and gentle unraveling, we shed the layers that have kept us guarded and begin to trust the wisdom within.
This retreat is for the woman who longs to feel safe in her skin, to rest deeply, and to reconnect with the Earth in a way that feels raw, real, and nourishing. It’s an invitation to slow down, feel, and surrender to the primal rhythm that has always been ours to claim—to remember who you are before the world told you who to be.
Why is nudity such a powerful part of healing?
Our bodies are kept hidden, sending a quiet but profound message—that we are inherently wrong, shameful, or something to be concealed. But nudity is more than just a physical state; it is an initiation into radical self-acceptance and deep embodied freedom. When we remove the layers of fabric between us, we also begin to shed the stories of unworthiness, fear, and self-judgment that have been woven into us.
When we’re naked, we feel more connected to all of life, more grounded, and safer in our bodies. We open up communication with the natural world, attuning to its rhythms in a way we simply can’t when we are covered and constrained. There’s something profoundly healing about standing bare under the open sky, feeling the elements against your skin, and realizing that you are already whole. For many women, this is the first time they’ve truly seen themselves—without apology, without performance, just pure presence.
What’s the vibe like during the retreat?
Each retreat is unique, shaped by the women who gather and the wisdom that unfolds. Wild Wisdom was birthed from the deep guidance to connect with our plant allies, to embody more primal, raw, and sacred ways of being. It is a space of deep remembrance—where we reclaim the language of our bodies, the power of our voices, and the intimacy of our connection with nature.
Body movement is a core part of the experience—not as structured dance, but as true embodiment, allowing the body to move as it needs to so we can feel and process repressed emotions and stored energy. We also awaken our voices, activating a deep primal expression through sacred singing and sounding in circle, letting our voices rise in ways they may never have before.
Any standout moments from past events?
The rage circle around Grandfather Fire, where women unleashed long-held pain and trauma, tapping into a power they hadn’t felt in years—maybe ever.
The raw, vulnerable beauty of yoni sunning, where women experience such deep presence in their bodies that the sensation alone feels like an orgasm.
The moment, at my very first event, when a woman shared that this was her first time being naked without sex. That moment has stayed with me, a reminder of just how deeply ingrained shame and conditioning can be, and how powerful it is to reclaim our nudity for ourselves.
How does the Florida wilderness shape the experience?
Florida’s wilderness is alive—it pulses with an energy that stirs something ancient within us. Towering oaks stand as guardians of the land, their branches heavy with hanging moss, whispering stories carried through generations. Their roots run deep, anchoring us in a presence that feels both protective and wise. Beneath their canopy, we are held, reminded of our own resilience, our own place in the great web of life.
The land we host this retreat on is sacred Native land, cherished and honored by its current stewards, who hold their own sacred ceremonies of healing and remembrance here. This land is tended to with deep reverence, held in a way that amplifies its healing presence. Being immersed in this wildness allows us to soften, to listen, to remember. The trees, the night sky, the very air we breathe—all of it works as an extension of the healing, guiding us back to a rhythm that feels natural and true.
What does it mean to “reclaim your primal essence,” and why does it matter?
Reclaiming your primal essence is about unlearning everything that told you to be small, quiet, or ashamed. It’s about trusting your instincts, listening to your body’s wisdom, and allowing yourself to feel. So many women move through life disconnected from their own vitality—holding tension, guarding their hearts, fearing their own desires. But when we reclaim our primal essence, we return to a state of deep knowing. We belong to ourselves again.
In this reclamation, we become free to choose—to move through the world on our own terms, to feel safe in our bodies, and to trust ourselves. Our instincts sharpen. Our intuition speaks clearer. And we remember what it means to live in alignment with our deepest truth. 🪐

Sounds like a wonderful way to introduce social nudity to women. I think there would be a segment of men who would find it a positve experience as well.
What a great retreat for women! Men would benefit from such a retreat
