When I go on long hikes, if I don't have anything or anyone to remind me, I can forget I'm nude. I have even forgotten I'm nude during the Bay to Breakers. I won't see anyone else who is nude and nobody pays the slightest attention to my own nudity. It is a fragile state.
Encountering another person on the trail immediately reminds me. A comment about it by a fellow B2Ber breaks the spell even if it s a friendly one. (Almost always is.) Just seeing another nude person breaks it for a little bit.
