I was the only nude person on the first day, and I remained the only nude person to attend any workshops. There was a young woman who walked nude around the festival venue at times, and at least four other guys were nude for short stretches during the dance on the third night. I like to think that my example made them feel free to do that.
Nudity should be not only be allowed at Ecstatic dances, but encouraged! Glen Eden has hosted three such dances over the past year and more will follow.
Ecstatic dance (full disclosure I’ve never participated) seems to be like other similar spaces a perfect opportunity to introduce open-minded individuals and communities to naturism and body freedom. I applaud you for trying to normalize nudity and body freedom in an otherwise clothed environment.
P.S. I’ve really enjoyed reading your nudist fiction books.
They who own the venue make the rules. If the web site specifically says nudity is allowed, then I'd be nude too. I'd probably try to bring other nudies, too.
Other "ecstatic dance" events might not allow nudity because they are worried about the reactions of the other customers. If it is a recurring event they need to worry about customer retention. Or the possible presence of minors. They don't want to be sued or raided.
They may be mistrustful of your motivations.
They may be textile themself and therefore a restriction on nudity isn't really a "restriction" in their minds.
There are probably a LOT of behaviors they don't allow and listing every one would be prohibitive.
Kudos for having the courage to be the only one nude, or so I surmise although you really didn't say. It sounds as though you were a conscientious and respectful ambassador for non-sexualized nudity, and I commend you for that.
So I take it you were the only nude participant?
I was wondering the same thing.

I'm sure it did. You no doubt broke the ice, or planted the seed, it just took a couple of days for others to decide to go for it.

That is really neat!

I just roll with whatever rules they set.

Dan has been a long time supporter of social nudity and public nudity. He has been an example for many years at public events.
