I'm not at all surprised by the poll results. There's a comfort, an ease, a pleasantness with being nude that I do not get when dressed. And unlike many, I don't hate clothes or getting or being dressed. I'm both a clotheshorse and a nudist. I like to look good when dressed. But no question: being nude is my preference for the reasons I led off with in this comment.
I believe I feel an emotional shift when nude. For one, certain chores that would otherwise feel draining or tiresome do not seem so when done nude. I also feel like it shifts how my eyes/brain experience the world. There are days/seasons when it is more challenging to find nude time, but when I find I have regular opportunities to be nude I feel more balanced. My hunch is that there is something physiological going on. I think this is also connected to the many distractions of our modern world. Being nude has a focusing effect on me during yoga or meditation and in moving about my day nude I'm less likely to be attached to my phone (no pockets to hold it!). I think that's why I chose "grounded."
Counterintuitively, I'm the least aware of my body when I have nothing on. I don't think about what it looks like to me or others. My nude body takes up the space in the world that it's intended to take. It is completely one with the surroundings.
I feel relaxed and more in touch with my self and the environment around me. There is a calmness and sense of peace I can’t seem to find in a textile world. I find more reason to stay naked and happy than ever.
I feel "different" when I am not nude. I am able to live naked always in my home and outside by my home. when I cannot be nude it is something I really don't like to do. but we live in a world were nudity is frowned upon. sigh....
I am not sure how to describe it. I just have a feeling of joy, and, to be honest, wishing others could see me, but knowing that they won't. Due to the temperature in my apartment for much of the year, lounging around nude is uncomfortable, but in the summer I do spend a lot of time nude. When I dress or undress, I even do so in a manner that leaves my genitals exposed just a bit longer than the rest of me. Just being honest here.
Ever since I felt the fresh breeze surround me as a kid I’ve enjoyed being undressed. As an adult, I feel, emotionally that I’ve stepped away from the pressures of work and everyday community.
I feel completely myself when naked in the natural world. It feels like stripping away all pretense and just being me without disguise.
When nude, I feel relaxed, comfortable, and perhaps most important, every bit of stress from daily life goes away.

Nudity to me is the best expression of freedom and the most natrual feeling a person can have.
My mind is clear and stress goes away your whole body feels alive!
Once I’m done with whatever the day brings and I can shed my clothes it feels so refreshing! Like having a sliver removed.
