Comic Title: "Diary of the Astro-Nudes" by Ahmed Raafat Comic Subtitle: Bad to the Bone The comic is drawn in a retro style, with dot shading and a sepia tone, reminiscent of 1950s comic books. The strip features two nude characters, Ar and Arreya, inter-dimensional travelers from a world without clothes. They are living with an older couple, Brad and Janet, who are always clothed. Panel 1: Arreya, dressed as a witch, and Ar, dressed as a vampire, are both nude except for capes. Arreya says, "I'm glad we are partaking in this Earth’s annual tradition... with a compromise!" There's a knock at the door. Panel 2: Ar and Arreya are in a room. Arreya says, "No one is answering the door... I will go and check," while Ar, wearing antennae and a cape, says, “Just putting on the teeth!” Panel 3: The figures at the door are in shadow, but they appear to be wearing space helmets. Arreya greets them with "Good evening..." followed by Ar, who says, "We are the Astro-Bones..." Panel 4: The trick-or-treaters are dressed like Ar and Arreya, but as skeletons. One of them says, “And we come from a parallel Earth... where flesh doesn’t exist!” Ar and Arreya react in shock, with Ar shouting, “RUN!” Panel 5: Ar and Arreya stand with the trick-or-treaters, who have now removed their masks, revealing they are Janet and Brad, their clothed housemates. Arreya, looking unimpressed, says, “That wasn’t funny.” Janet laughs and says, “We got you good! Now who wants to carve some pumpkins?” Brad adds, “Or make pumpkin pie?” Ar responds with, “Yes for pie!” — Click for fullscreen

Inspired by 1960s nudist camp films like “Diary of a Nudist,” and sci-fi shows such as “My Favourite Martian,” Diary of the Astro-Nudes is the story of Ar and Arreya, two inter-dimensional explorers who come from a parallel Earth where clothes don't exist. They crash-land into an Earth very much like ours circa 1950s, and while they stay there to fix their ship, they examine our attitudes towards nudity and the human body.
