BARE with Me: Undressing Stigma
A podcast about body positivity, culture, blackness, and nudism
Welcome back to the BARE with Me Podcast, where we dive into the intersections of body positivity, culture, blackness, and nudism. I’m Jay, your host, and I’m excited to guide you through these meaningful conversations. Each episode, we bring in a diverse range of guests, including those who aren’t nudists, to share their unique perspectives and experiences. Our goal is to create a space for thoughtful dialogue, challenge societal norms, and deepen our understanding of these interconnected topics. Whether you’re a seasoned nudist or simply curious about body positivity and culture, this podcast offers something for everyone. Find it wherever you normally get your podcasts. New episodes are released monthly.
On this week's episode I’m going to be joined by a good friend of mine, one of my very best friends actually, Josh. When I say we’ve been through it all. This brother has seen me transition through multiple stages of life. I was honored to have him join me on stage as a groomsman on my wedding day. In our time together, we are going to discuss our understanding of body positivity, talk about its impact in our lives, its relevance in Black culture, social media’s role in helping and/or harming how we see our bodies, and how/why nudism connects to it all. Also, with it being Suicide Prevention Month, during our time, we’re going to take a deeper look into the importance of how mental health plays a key role in how we are able to show up confidently in our skin. This is an episode you don’t want to miss. 🪐
