Welcome to the BARE with Me Podcast, a space where we’ll explore these questions and more. Through engaging discussions with a diverse range of guests, including those who aren’t nudists, we’ll tackle important topics like body positivity, culture, blackness, and the impact of social media on our perceptions of our bodies. I’m Jay, your host, and I’m thrilled to invite you into this journey of discovery and empowerment.
As a black man in America and a dedicated nudist for over ten years, I’ve had countless deep conversations in nude spaces that have profoundly impacted me. My journey into body positivity and nudism started at the age of 13, during a time when I was grappling with changes in my body and the harmful influence of pornography on my self-image. Nudism became my way to improve how I saw my body. It all began one day when I forgot my towel after a shower. That moment led me to unpack my discomfort with being nude. I started challenging myself to be nude more often, and what began as something I did only after showers turned into me wearing clothes only when necessary. Now, over ten years later, I serve on the American Association of Nude Recreation’s PR/Marketing Committee and am an ambassador for the Black Naturists Association. My goal is to support people in finding ways to love themselves, whether through nudism or other means.

is my way of giving back to the world by spreading love and information that I believe can change lives. Through engaging discussions with a diverse range of guests, we’ll tackle important topics like body positivity, culture, blackness, and the impact of social media on our perceptions of our bodies. For the first episode of BARE with Me, we’re taking it back, way back! Join me as I turn back the hands of time and travel to my beginnings as a young nudist. In this episode, I explore how an early addiction to pornography created a need for me to find a way to deal with insecurities stemming from that addiction. My struggle with pornography led me to seek out nudist communities as a remedy. You heard me right—I ended up in a nudist community.
