Interesting. The high school I attended from 1958-1963 had the only nude swimming pool in Onarga, Illinois . Showed nude and swam nude unless we were having a swim meet with another school.
Interesting! Our schools didn't have pools when I attended, and we didn't belong to the YMCA. What I have always wondered about was the policy for girls. If the "swimwear" boys wore were the issue, the fibers clogging filters, and that was the reason for the nudity, why were girls allowed or supposed to wear suits? Ladies suits were usually more fabric back then. Did your school require the girls to wear suits?
I just remembered this, in the old Nudist Colonies, 50's-60's, where everyone swam nude of course, women were required to wear swim caps, to keep the "product" in their hair from clogging the polls filters.
My husband had naked swim phys Ed in high school. It was the initial driving force for him into nudism. He enjoyed the freedom compared to soggy swim trunks. Jan&Gary
