The last poll answer was supposed to have been “Very strict”—I can’t correct it without erasing current poll results so it shall remain wrong. Sorry about that!
Extended family nudity was the rule. Lots of skinny dipping with brothers sisters, relatives, parent, grandparents as well as group showers but no sex, no touching and not in public view
Dad was relaxed about nudity. Mom was very strict. I remember the time at the supermarket when she became outraged upon seeing a man remove his shirt to receive a vaccine. She always checked to be sure the shades were sufficiently pulled down before anyone changed clothes. I think that is part of why I drifted toward naturism and try to be free of clothes when I can.
We had a backyard swimming pool. Outright nudity (as I enjoy it today) wasn't there---not explicitly forbidden, just wasn't an option to be "indecent". That said, there were plenty of swimsuits (both male and female) that pushed the boundaries. Years long past my high school graduation, I jokingly asked my father if he and mom ever swam nude....and he said "yes, of course, but after dark". I saw them both differently after that.
I was definitely an outlier at my house. Mom and Dad and Sister were never naked around the house. I, on the other hand, took every opportunity to be naked. Many years later my Mom said that her main job until I was 7 or 8 was to keep my clothes on. A natural born nudist.
I had no problems regarding being nude at home. Used to lay out in the backyard and sgo skinny dipping in the neighbors pool next door. Still enjoy this today.
No one ever hid in my house growing up. Things that you were supposed to do naked, like showering, changing, bathing, looking for clothes, were all done without hiding.
Even though Germany is one of the cradles of naturism, nudity was not an issue in our home, but it was not demonised either when we children ran around the flat naked.
My aunt and uncle (God rest their souls) were naturists all their lives, had raised my cousin that way too, and had also paved the way for me to become a naturist.
My dad would parade through the house naked en route to bathroom. My mom never seen nude
unless I peeked while she was dressing. They did not have a problem with public pool and school dressing rooms for the family, girls and boys apart. We were allowed to see nude magazine covers and calendars on sales racks and Barber Shop walls. One hired hand had his room wallpapered with nudes.
My Protestant parents were very relaxed about it. Bathing, showering, changing clothes, were done with the doors open, so no hiding. We also swam naked in the natural pool next to the house together with our neighbouring friends.
Rethinking that time, I remember we had an aunt who was a nudist and my parents did not like that. Asked why they did not like that because we behaved the same at home they told us: but that is only at home. Then I asked why we were allowed to swim naked they said: because you are still children. I believe they did a good thing with showing their bodies to us in a natural way and that we played around naked when possible. We did so with our child as well, the only difference with my parents is, that nudity for us is our way of life.
Was not raised Nudist but dad and, because of him, my brothers and I had a very casual relationship with nudity. Mom was not as open and as we got older always covered up when around us. But it was not uncommon in mornings or jumping in pool to be naked however we never just hung around like that. Well brothers and I did in room but not in a nudist lifestyle way more just locker-room and lazy vibe.
My father walked around in underwear but rarely nude. My mother would always be fully clothed. She highly encouraged my brother and I to always be clothed. I didn't try nudity until I was in college and felt very insecure until I hit my 30s.
Nudity wasn’t a thing. My parents were sometimes nude in front of us but only while changing clothes or in the bathroom. My father was so strict in so many ways and his temper was unpredictable so I, as a youth and young teen only went nude in bed and in the yard, sunbathing, when no one was at home. Once I was old enough to drive and had a car I would take every opportunity to go to the farmlands, woods and open spaces to find places to be nude and in the sun.
The attitude towards nudity when I was growing up was that nudity should be limited to the shower and behind closed doors. Of course the older I got that line of thinking started to change.
Now has my attitude towards nudity changed from how I was raised. I would like to think so. I like to think that I have a more open mind now. Nudity in general should not be looked on as being bad. As long nothing indecent is going on in a public place where nudity is permitted. After all the human body is like a human finger print, no two are the same. So we should not be ashamed of how we look.
At home seeing one another nude was not a big deal, so much as that my mom had to remind us that what was normal at our house was not okay at other houses. We were told that a body is a body and everyone has one and we could skinny dip in our pool or at a lake if no one who would be shocked was around. I went through an insecure age of course, but now I am happy to have had that upbringing. My spouse had to learn that being nude in his own house was alright, he was raised by an inflexible religious mother and taught that the body was shameful. He is now over that, thankfully.

Dead set against it. Parents were die hard Catholics, didn’t get to experience nudity until my 50th birthday
Same

Hmmm seems like you have a very cool family. 👀
