As said rightly, it's not just in case of naturism. Whenever someone tries very different than the widely accepted by the masses, he/she is bound to be vulnerable. A very neatly written article.
The vulnerability associated with naturism for me is a bit of a paradox. I am quick to disrobe within a group, something that frankly surprised me. My first foray into social naturism, a nude hike on the solstice, I was quick to get naked and was quickly comfortable. However, I still struggle with those parts of my nude self that I am uncomfortable with, so the self acceptance - true self acceptance is more of a journey. I am happy though that I am on the journey, because while I still have things that I am concerned about, I am becoming much more accepting of my whole self.
I never thought of it this way ( "Vulnerability is a super power, and nudity is like a phone booth."). It makes sense!!
