When is world naked gardening day and why isn't it being televised? And coincidently why hasn't Seejay. Who wrote a great article by the way thrown his television and radio and everything else that is talking about having a perfect body out of the nearest and highest window?.
Thank you Seejay for articulating what I believe many of us feel from time to time, or perhaps more often than we like to admit. The beautiful consequence of seeing the diversity of the human form through the lens of naturism is that it allows us to see a person for who they are, not just how they appear. It’s through conversations, experiences, and reflection that we come to know someone. I feel that I don’t often give the time and grace to get to know my own self, and I suspect the same goes for others. We often bury those negative thoughts deep down to avoid confronting them, and they can percolate up when we least expect it. I suspect you writing this post was cathartic and a reminder to us all that body acceptance, especially of our own, is a journey (one might say “an adventure”) and not a destination. Thank you for sharing such a vulnerable yet beautiful part of your journey 🙏🏻
Just found this essay, and it most definitely resonates with me.
Additionally, I think the use of memes on internet threads related to social nudity - while intended to be affirming and empowering - add a good bit to daily fodder for those of us who tend to be self-critical. Strangely, I find that repetition of a mantra actually tends to draw attention to my insecurities despite the intent to assuage them.
(I suspect there is also a significant correlation between those of us who struggle with body acceptance and are hard on ourselves in general - be that in professional or personal pursuits.)
All that said, thanks SeeJay for saying out loud what I'm guessing many of us here are grappling with on the day to day!

What a nice essay that hits right at the issue so many suffer from.
Thank you!
