Olaf, Congratulations on this endeavor. What an important piece of our history to document. As you work on the next book about NJ, I would be happy to share my information having worked and lived with Earl and Lucille Hansen at Circle H Ranch in the late 1970s. See my article in "N" 21.3 pp. 82-87 "Nudism with a Social Conscious." I have also been digging into Bernarr Macfadden's 1905 Physical Culture City in NJ and some of the residents and visitors included William Calhoun Walker who set up the first national nudist group The Common Sense Club in 1919 and his wife on their honeymoon, poet Harry Kemp and newly estranged Mrs. Upton Sinclair. There is also the ASA decisions to move its offices and what to do with the Donald Johnson Archives.
New Jersey will be the 4th book, I hope if I live long enough and maybe find another primary writer to do the whole USA. I did Club Orient the first year of COVID, then the history of Avatan (Minnesota club) Send me an email, you are definitely, someone I want to cultivate. Whether or not mentioning this book here sells anymore books or not, that is immaterial as my primary goal was a hope to dredge out a person with NJ history in their closet, attic, or even in their memories! Circle H, a place I do not have a contact yet....thanks storolaf@yahoo.com
This book is a MUST for anyone interested in Naturism, but especially for those of us in Florida. Some interesting stories about places that no longer exist, such as the Solarium in St. Petersburg.
My wife and I were members of Lake Como years ago, spending almost every weekend there for about five years. It was interesting to read the stories of Bru and Dorothy and of Ron.
I can't stress the importance of this book; clearly a labor of love and a book that will proudly sit on our coffee table.
I do not know the context here......I live here. mailed yours yesterday btw from Tampa. The next book I am doing is (working title) "Suntans, Spies, and Strippers," the history of Naturism in New Jersey.....Suntans, because of the ASA was originated there at Sunshine Park, spies because of a FBI sending nude agents to keep two Czech spies under surveillance at Rock Lodge, and Strippers because of the heavy Burlesque membership at Sky Farm, and Rock Lodge, and other places see HBO series "Life at the Burley Q" ...and it is a fun title, but it may change........... I need info from every place but Rock Lodge.......although scrounging is ongoing.......
AGA Rock Lodge's (Stockholm NJ) winter home from 1934 to 1939 was Mossy Oak Nudist camp in Hillsborough County east of Tampa, in 1939, they moved to lake Como to start AGA Lake Como Estates .....New Jersey's fingerprints are all over the early clubs here in Pasco.
I live in Paradise Lakes, feel free to stop over if you get over this way or stop in at Eden RV Saturday, signing is at private residence there.......I will email you my adress at lakes or where this is in Eden if you send me an email....storolaf@yahoo.com

BTW John and I have never met, he just bought a book last week.
Hillsborough County is in Florida, not New Jersey. Tampa is in Hillsborough County, which is just south of Pasco County.

Evan Nicks interview stated Hillsborough County New Jersey twice.
My mistake! Thank you for the correction!

Nice work Olaf.
I will have to order a copy for the table when guests come over
