I don't think there is any real reason to have photos of the child circulating. They are participating in an event with a focus that shouldn't be in the age of the participants, and focusing on a child would be detrimental, and, quite frankly, a bit sketchy.

I live in San Antonio, Texas. To say that the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) was poorly promoted is to engage in understatement. The date wasn't announced until shortly before.

As noted, the location changed - to my knowledge twice - and even that wasn't clear. The indications I saw said "the Riverwalk downtown" without any specificity. There are at least a dozen access points for the Riverwalk downtown. I didn't see any references to Alamo Plaza (which makes much more sense as a meeting/start/finish point until after the fact. My attempts to further explore all went nowhere as the information was either old or clicks to dead ends. In a way, not too surprising. I love San Antonio, but I'm not sure it is ready to host a WNBR.

Thanks Bill. The fact is there was no ride organized in San Antonio. The advertisements were a scam, for a nonexistent ride. Again, I’ve got a more in-depth piece in the works that goes into more detail about this coming soon. But to be clear, did you attempt to attend the ride? If so, would you be willing to chat with me more about your experience offline? I can be reached at evan@planetnude.co.

Incidentally I was just in your city two weeks ago. I loved the River Walk and the culture there. Very cool city!

I did not, due at least in part to the short notice, and in large part of having no idea where to go, and not wanting to play hide and go seek.

Makes sense! But you had seen the online event listings? Or the articles in the Current?

Not the Current. Facebook. As memory serves, I first saw one cycling community friend post about it - derisively - with a link to the "event". As I mentioned, old info and dead end. The second one was another cycling community friend who posted a link to a local TV station's website which in turn linked to the same phony event site. Finally, a third bicycling buddy posted that he went to Alamo Plaza (which was where I first heard it mentioned as opposed to the Riverwalk), but there weren't many people there, and none nude.

I'm glad you enjoyed San Antonio. It is a very cool city. About all it lacks is clothing-optional recreational opportunities. Oh well.

Chock -full-o-news! Sad to read of the state of FKK in Germany and uncertainty in Wisconsin. Support GAT at AANR!

Thank you George! absolutely agree! However, worth saying that your AANR membership supports GAT. The Naturist Action Committee is actually based in Wisconsin and is not supported by memberships, so they can really use the support of donations tremendously.
