I’m not convinced it’s a win, authoritarianism in any form is the antithesis of the naturist principle. On a more practical note our son, his wife (our daughter-in-law) and the grandkids are coming to stay with us in Euronat this summer for the first time and she’s very nervous. Understandably, for her first time she wants the option to cover up if she feels uncomfortable but she’s happy with everyone else doing their thing. If this was Germany she wouldn’t have this option and probably neither she or the family would come so it seems a bit draconian. I know we need to protect naturist spaces but this is a Trumpian no-middle-ground approach.
Wreck Beach in Canada sorely needs this kind of legal designation. Tiered areas where different levels are required. It's already self-policed in this way a little... But without any actual authority behind it the last few years have seen an uptick in incidents.
I like it. I used to think that places should be clothing optional. Too many times in the last few years, I've gone to traditionally clothing optional hot springs and everyone is in suits and fully dressed. It makes it uncomfortable to be naked.
Since the new laws offer all three options, I am mostly for this kind of legislation. There is one problem though, and that is of the nudist who has the weather change while at the beach, and needs to put on something to keep warm. All of this would be unnecessary if we didn’t have these anti-nude zealots trying to impose their will on us people who believe that nudity is healthy for both the mind and body.
I like the piece but wish the illustration had a pic of a whole family or range of people naked. I often think that using images of attractive young women naked in articles and publicity sends a wrong message at odds with the written piece.
A demonstration of the wide gulf between US and European attitudes toward nudity. The thoughtful management of beaches through the three part mix allows everyone to be comfortable where they are. Here, nudity even at nude beaches can be perilous...both from gawkers and from officials (i.e. recent Playalinda arrest). The radical conservatism we are seeing now may only make the situation on public nude venues more tenuous. The loss of nude beaches such as Fire Island and Little Beach (among others) by administrative fiat is the real "authoritarianism" here. It could continue.
I was at a nudist camp several times. The rule for females on their period could wear panties for obvious "mechanical" reasons. How does the German nude beaches handle this case?
Nice to see that the local government is standing up for nudist rights. I wonder how well that would go over in the US?
Wonderful news hopefully the rest of the world will follow suit!

You must have missed the part where they have designated spots for clothing optional and clothing mandatory.

Exelente, los felicito!, son un ejemplo del cómo los Nudistas defienden sus espacios que por derecho les son propios.
Great news!
Very happy to see this.

One can only dream of this happening in United States.

I'm curious about the proportions of the 3 spaces: naturism required, optional, and textile required.
Me too

Many women make it work with a tampon and that's not an issue.
Great way to preserve nude beaches. The world if full of textile ones.
I've read a few articles about this, and not one mentioned menstruating women. Anyone know the details?
