NAC alerts and advisories are coming to Planet Nude

A powerful collaboration for promoting body freedom and political awareness

Planet Nude is pleased to announce a partnership with the Naturist Action Committee (NAC). This alliance is a significant step in promoting informed advocacy and collective action in the naturist community. Together, we aim to amplify NAC Action Alerts and Advisories to Planet Nude's engaged and passionate readership, fostering a reciprocal relationship where NAC’s wealth of resources and expertise enriches our community, while Planet Nude’s growing readership offers a broader platform for NAC’s invaluable work. This collaboration is rooted in shared mission: to cultivate a well-informed and proactive community, furthering the cause of naturism and body freedom.

30 years of NAC

The eventual foundation of the Naturist Action Committee was paved with several previous aborted organizational efforts over the preceding decade, beginning with the Naturist Leadership Council (NLC), later called the Naturist/Nudist Leadership Council (NNLC), which paved the way for the Association for Clothes Free Rights, Inc. (ACFRI), of which Lee Baxandall was an engaged board member. These early efforts were comprised of concerned activists from across North America that were looking to grow their visibility and better advocate for naturist causes on the political level.¹ On February 15th, 1991, NAC crystallized these endeavors, incorporating officially in Nevada as a non-profit 501(c)4 organization. The founding board consisted of naturist leaders and activists representing various regions across North America. Together, they aimed to bring a more politically active and aware coalition of naturists to the cause of advocating and safeguarding nude rights.

NAC has been instrumental in circulating critical updates and actions through its newsletter since the 1990s. With a repository of over 250 Action Alerts, Advisories, and Updates archived between 1999 and 2019, NAC has fostered a well-informed community, ready to mobilize in defense of naturist values.
