Meet FUNN, the USA’s new seat at the international naturist table
After 17 years outside the International Naturist Federation, the United States has a seat again
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Federation of United Naturists & Nudists (FUNN), a new national nonprofit member organization that has just been formally recognized by the International Naturist Federation (INF-FNI) as the official U.S. representative. After seventeen years, the United States is back on the international naturist map.
The U.S. hasn’t held a seat at INF-FNI since 2009, even as nearly every other major national naturist federation in the world has. That gap closes today.
FUNN is a new kind of national naturist organization: digital-first, member-driven, transparent from day one, and built around how naturists actually connect today—online. Through December 31st, you can become a Charter Member at just $6 a year. For now, membership is open only to naturists and nudists who are U.S. residents.
FUNN is not trying to replace or compete with any existing US naturist organization, and our structure is designed to be an easy companion to your other naturist related memberships, complementing the work those organizations already do while connecting members with the international naturist community. It was built to do one thing first, and do it exceptionally: give the U.S. a real, permanent presence in the global movement, and grow from there. Every Charter Member gets an actual vote in how FUNN is governed, and because INF-FNI’s own voting power is weighted by membership size, the more U.S. naturists who join, the stronger a voice the U.S. has at that table too. It’s built to be inclusive of every body type, age, gender, and ability that naturism actually includes.
What does FUNN do?
FUNN connects United States nudists and naturists to the International Naturist Federation, which links national naturist federations across more than forty countries into one worldwide naturist family, giving U.S. naturists access to naturist clubs and grounds approved by INF-FNI, worldwide, wherever they travel.
That access comes with a real vote, too, in decisions that matter more than they sound. INF-FNI's General Assembly, its World Congress, meets every two years to decide how naturism is defended, standardized, and represented worldwide, the kind of decisions that shape whether naturism gets treated as legitimate or left vulnerable. Every member federation votes there, weighted by how many members it represents, and as a FUNN member, that vote is yours: a say in how naturism's future gets written, cast on the U.S.'s behalf for the first time in seventeen years. Beyond the assembly, INF-FNI runs an International Swimming Gala, a pétanque tournament, and other gatherings open to naturists of all walks. It also produces Focus, a naturist newsletter with perspectives from around the world, which comes out every two months in seven languages.
FUNN exists to carry that seat and put it in U.S. naturists’ hands. Until today, none of it was reachable from here.
Join the FUNN
Charter Membership is open right now to U.S. residents, and it's just $6 a year through December 31, 2026, locked in at that rate for as long as you stay a member (it moves to $12/year for anyone who joins after).
That gets you everything above: the vote, the club access, Focus, and FUNN’s own updates. Most rewardingly, though, it gets you a seat in the first chapter of this. Charter Members are part of the actual founding of a national organization.
Many Bodies, One Voice: that's the idea FUNN is built on. After seventeen years without a seat at the table, we finally have one. Become a Charter Member today, or just learn more, at joinfunn.org. ☀️
