Join me in person this Saturday for a live presentation on the history of Olive Dell
A live storytelling event exploring the shared history of Olive Dell and Glen Eden
This Saturday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m., I’ll be at Glen Eden Sun Club participating in a special live presentation hosted by the Western Nudist Research Library—It All Started at Olive Dell.
As a proud member of WNRL’s board of directors, I’m honored to help explore the history of this pivotal chapter in American nudism—beginning with Olive Dell’s founding by Bill Keissel in 1952, continuing through the arrival of Canadian naturist leaders Ray and Mildred Connett and their visionary (but ultimately rejected) proposal to turn the club into a member-run cooperative, the Kilborn family’s decades of stewardship and revitalization, and the founding of Glen Eden itself, where the Connetts’ dream of a cooperative club finally came to life and still thrives today.
We’ll trace this powerful origin story, bring the Connetts’ voices to life with dramatic readings, and welcome special guest Becki Kilborn, a key figure in Olive Dell’s more recent era. We’ll also be sharing an exciting update from the Western Nudist Research Library about what’s ahead. If you’re anywhere near Southern California, I’d love to see you there in person! 🪐
