It’s not that creating this episode of Naked Age was a breeze—though, relatively speaking, it might have been easier than most others. The key here was that much of the groundwork had already been laid before I even realized an episode was forming. My fascination with Zelda Suplee, a notable figure in nudist history and one of my personal nudist heroes, started early in my exploration of her work and legacy. Discovering her film appearances, her connection with Doris Wishman, and her advocacy efforts for nudism and later gender studies and education, I gained a fuller picture of her lifelong dedication to body freedom. This understanding highlighted for me her significance and, frankly, her coolness.
