Agreed, the movie is interesting but completely falls apart in the last 20 minutes. It also may be my failing, or perhaps some confusion arising from it being a German/Argentinian co-production, but throughout the object of the satire was never entirely clear (This may be a thing with German co-productions, see Star Maidens). The people in the gated community were depicted as overworked cogs with bourgeois wealth, but the people in the nudist community seemed to be equally, if not even more, wealthy. But with no obvious means of income other than property. Yet they are clearly the sympathetic ones in the movie. I came away from it feeling I had just watched a full-blown Marxist defense of aristocracy. I’m not entirely sure that’s what the movie meant, but I’m not entirely not sure either.

Nothing wrong with nudity and consensual open sex. Ones, couples and groups just need to understand the rules and what they are looking for. Leave the kids if any home!

This review makes a compelling point about the electric fence as a metaphor. It sounds like a powerful clash between a rigid, "proper" architecture and the organic flow of the nudist community. Even if the film leans into certain clichés, the idea of escaping a sterile, gated environment to find raw human connection is a theme that really resonates with my own artistic values.
