The most significant negative for American Nudism is AANR. This apparently directionless group must be reconstituted. It currently is nothing more than roadkill blocking the path of real Nudists.
Thanks, Mark, Grace and I loved your article. If we can be of any help, let us know. We hope to be full-time by May.
I completely disagree with M. Scott as he starts with a lot of negativity. AANR is only as good as those who constructively contribute ideas, workable plans and thoughts, and positivity to utilize its valuable skills, contacts, legal contacts, etc.
Hi Kent & Grace! Nice to hear from you and thanks so much for the positive feedback and offer to help. I completely agree that a lot can be done if positive people put their minds, energies, and talents to the task at hand.
You got my full support with this Mark buddy. I am happy to help out with it in anyway I can. We can discuss it next time I meet with you. I too disagree with Mr. Scott. AANR has a ton of resources and advantages that are very helpful to the naturist cause. In previous comments I’ve stated my desire to see them cater to more young people and women by changing some tactics, but I in no way think they are a negative force. I’m an elite lifetime member of the organization and I’m proud to be.
We think it's an excellent idea! Just be careful that the large and establish groups/organisations don't take the lead and force their opinion on the smaller groups. Change always comes from grassroots movements, hardly ever from large organisations.
I completely agree that smaller groups should have a voice. The plan is to encourage and empower each participating group, regardless of size, to plan and implement at least one activity for the benefit of all. That's how it was done at the 1969 event, and it worked pretty well!

I don't understand your claim, that AANR is blocking the path of real nudists. Can you provide examples which have caused you to feel this way?

Thanks so much Davey, I'm glad you have a glass half full mindset and your willingness to work to make things better.

Why not ask AANR to identify their successes? You'll find nothing more than internal back-slapping and photo ops.
I will follow this thread and participate.
Would love to have your participation!
